Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP, LVT, WPC)

There are a lot of names for this product but luxury vinyl plank has exploded on the flooring scene in the past few years. LVP has been around for many years but it has been revamped. The old LVP flooring had to be glued down which was a messy and expensive installation. The new LVP uses a floating installation system similar to laminate which is easier and quicker to install.

LVP has numerous benefits. Once LVP is installed, the patterns and colors are almost impossible to differentiate from real wood floors. LVP is significantly less expensive than real wood and many of them are completely waterproof. They are easy to install and they can even be installed over the top of many other existing floors such as tile or wood. LVP flooring works great in basements where there is the possibility of moisture. They are also so realistic looking that they can be installed in the main areas of the house such as kitchens, living rooms, dining rooms and even bedrooms and your visitors will probably never know that it’s not real wood flooring!
